"Schedulers and companies are continually looking for people to be their eyes in banks, restaurants, movie theaters and many well known retail locations."

 

Mystery Shopping  is performed for information gathering that allows companies to collect and harvest first-hand knowledge about their business, employees and some operations.

Light Merchandising jobs involve tasks with the actual products and sometimes marketing of those items that the stores sell.

Both type positions require observant and conscientious performers with consideration and awareness to detail.

Self contracting mystery shoppers conduct evaluations, auditing, and analysis of a particular "shop" experience in  recognized and respected banks, restaurants, theatres, gas stations, auto dealers, rental apartments, hotels, walk-in clinics, groceries and banks including a variety of retail stores.

A quote from one market research company, Market Force states on their website, "By becoming a secret shopper, you will conduct important studies, such as operational evaluations, theatre checks and retail audits that allow our clients to improve their on-site experience for their customers."

It is imperative that any secret shopper do so anonymously.

They must perform their shop experience as a normal consumer would simply go to buy products..

The difference is that as a mystery shopper, you are evaluating a variety of criteria in your shopping experience.

Additionally, you are then reporting on that experience either on a physical form, but most probably, on a company's website.

The audits and survey's that a mystery shopper completes are normally reviewed prior to forwarding them to the client who requested the analysis.

Light Merchandising groundwork includes checking the placement of products on shelves in position, stocking products and setting up promotional displays.

When performing light merchandising assignments, a contractor will go to clients’ stores on job revealed visits.

You will be provided a letter of authorization from your clients.

After your merchandising assignments are completed you normally will provide a summary report to your client.

Clients will frequent your service locations that you visit and perform your tasks on a regular basis as their follow up.

Report is done online and is 2 pages long. It has questions that are marked with point values and then has a comment section underneath each section for you to provide at least 3 complete sentences per section.

These are fun shops filled with variety – there are many different shopping scenarios to choose from and many scenarios include free groceries! These evaluations require shoppers to assess cleanliness, merchandising/product display, customer service, and employee efficiency with particular focus on timing.
These are non-revealed shops.

The shop fees have a wide range as there are many different scenarios (and varying degrees of requirements) and ALL shops also have a reimbursement that brings your fee + reimbursement total up to $10 – $30 based on the scenario.

The reports do not require narratives and most all comment questions can be answered in one – two sentences. Shopper feedback on this program has been extremely positive!

I received a 'phishy' email
yesterday. I had responded to an ad on craigslist (seattle) that was soliciting for mystery shoppers. They just forgot to send good
'bait.' Here it is:

Hello

We are a company that conduct surveys and evaluate other companies.
We get hired to go to other peoples companies and act like customers in order to know how the staffs are handling their services in relation to their customers. Once we have a contract to do, so you would be directed to the company or outlet, and you would be given the funds you need to do the job (either purchase things or require services), after which you would write a comment on the staffs activities and give a detailed record of your experience.
 

Examples of details you would forward to us are:
1) How long it took you to get services.
2) Smartness of the attendant
3) Customer service professionalism
4) Sometimes you might be required to upset the attendant, to see
how they react to clients when they get tensed (under pressure).

And we turn the information over to the company executives and they would carry out their own duties in improving there services.

Most companies employ our assistance when people give complaints about their services, or when they feel there are needs for them to improve their customer service. Your Identity would be kept confidential as the job states (secret shopper) you would be paid $200 for every survey you carry out, and bonus on your transportation allowance, and funds would be given to you if you have to dine as part of the duty.

Your job will be to evaluate and comment on customer service in a wide variety of shops, stores, restaurant and services in your area. No commitment is made on this job, and you would have flexible hours as it suits you. If you are interested , you have to fill the list below so we can look at your distance from the locations which you have to put your
service into, and your address would also be needed for your payments.

Before you fill the list below make sure you read the INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR AGREEMENT attached to this mail before you will fill the application .
